About the event
The workshop will take place within a beautiful woodland, from which we will source and cut the wood for our spoons. Over the course of the day you will learn how to safely saw, split and shape the wood using loppers, billhooks, sheath and crook knives. All tools will be provided and the group size will be small to allow individual attention. You will be carefully guided through each stage of the process ending up with your own wonderful creation. The process will as important than the product as we immerse ourselves in the meditative process of whittling wood.
The campfire will be lit and the kettle will be on for refreshments whenever the need arises. Lunch will be a hearty vegetarian soup served with crusty bread and a dessert of home baked cake.
